The troop's annual swimming test will be held Monday, May 21 at the YMCA pool.  This test is required for all scouts attending summer camp and/or the C&O bike trip.

The February trip to Dive Quarters in Virginia Beach was a huge success.  The scouts learned the basics of SCUBA diving in a 3-tiered indoor pool with great instruction from the PADI-certified personnel at Dive Quarters. After an afternoon of diving, they enjoyed an all-you-can-eat pizza buffet and overnight accommodations at Ft. Story.

Troop 180 successfully defended its First Colony District crown at the annual Klondike competiton held at Bayport Scout Reservation January 27-29.  Troop patrols took both 1st and 2nd places in this annual test of scouting skills for troops across the district.

The 5th Annual Scout Skills Challenge (a.k.a. the Wilbies) are coming January 6-8 at Fort Eustis.  Every scout skill known to man is thrown at you in a boot camp setting.  You gotta have guts just to show up for this event!  We'll sleep at nearby Cheatham Annex this year ... eat in the mess halls ... run the obstacle course ... light fires ... you name it, we do it!

We will meet for the first time at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church on Monday December 5th at 7 PM. Parents are invited to attend this meeting to see our new meeting place and meet a representative of the church, Mr. Dick Turner.
